Why do you want to have a Buyer Broker?

Many folks wonder why they might enlist the help of a Buyer Broker from the first steps of their discovery process when looking for real estate.

Let me explain this to you:  If you call upon developments looking for property their sales agents will be working for the Seller. What does this means to you? Well, essentially their representative are trying to get the highest price for their seller, not getting the best price or property for you. But, if you have a Buyer Broker we are looking out for your best interest. Of course, we all want a certain amount of independence so you can ask for information but please list that you will have a Buyer Broker as your representative. This way we will watch over all properties for you. And, show you all properties listed in a community, not just developer or in house properties listed for sale. This will give you the best understanding of the market and have someone on your side. We hope that we will be your introduction to Balsam Mountain Preserve or another special place in western North Carolina. We works with Waynesville, Sylva, and Asheville communities.

Barbara L. Matzick, has an Accredited Representative Buyer designation, as well as a GRI (Graduate, REALTOR® Institute), which is a nationally recognized professional real estate designation.

Balsam Book Club

Imag0319

Photo is showing the Ladies Balsam Book Club pausing during a lively discussion of “The Kitchen House” by Kathleen Grissom.

Newly formed by (Balsam resident) Marianne Lyons who wanted to share her love of literature and many years of book club experience that began in Lampur, Malaysai over thirty years ago. Marianne has been an avid book club member ever since. Balsam Mountain Preserve has attracted folks that have lived around the country or for some the globe. They choose Balsam Mountain Preserve because of it's mild climate, wonderful amenities and proximity to Asheville, NC and two wonderful mountain towns. This Preserve allows folks to feel they are in the wilderness but have access to hospitals & shopping only ten miles from the gate.

Let's get back to Marianne who developed her keen literary insight over the years from clubs in foreign counties – as well as the United States – she also has spent considerable time on the creative side via her professional involvement in community theater productions.  This combination allows her to be uniquely perceptive and show us dimensional life in characters we would otherwise miss .  Balsam is truly fortunate to have our Book Club led by someone who can peel away the layers of a story and find depths that most readers never find. Thank you Marianne for starting this wonderful club and helping to make Balsam Mountain Preserve the special community that we call home!

Close To Western Carolina University – Home Ready For A New Owner

Have you been wondering when you would find the perfect property?  Well, this may be the home that will meet your needs. This home listing came to me through a friend’s referral. As you drive out Highway 116/ or Webster Road, you will cross the rushing water of the Tuckasegee River as it rolls under a bridge.  Then straight ahead of you will be a classic white church with a steeple, which could set the scene for a Norman Rockwell painting. Crossing the bridge, you are drawing close to this property you might be calling home in the near future.

The drive up to this home sets the scene for privacy. The home has porches on each side where you can sit to enjoy the mountain views. Your own acreage surrounds you, yielding privacy and the enjoyment of nature. Inside this home shows like a model, just waiting for you to bring your clothes and begin a new life. If you have adult children or elderly parents, the lower level will offer them private space. Call now to learn more about this wonderful home so you can make it your own!
